Terry L. Miller is the CEO and Member of the Firm at Mitchell & Mitchell PC. He began his law practice in June 1975, after being sworn as a Member of the State Bar of Georgia by Judge Robert L. Vining in Murray County Superior Court and immediately participating in the trial defense of a criminally accused. In addition to the State Bar of Georgia, he is a member of the Conasauga Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association. Mr. Miller is admitted to the bars of United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and is certified to practice before the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Terry took a leave of absence from Mitchell & Mitchell from 1977-1979 to serve as Administrative Assistant to U.S. Representative Ed Jenkins. Mr. Miller has served as City Attorney for the City of Dalton, Georgia (1987-1997) and for the City of Eton, Georgia (1987 -2011).
He is proud to lead the Mitchell & Mitchell, PC firm into the second decade of the 21st century as it nears the 100-year mark in legal services.
Education
Terry L. Miller attended Dalton Public Schools graduating in 1968. He graduated with honors from Emory University in 1972 with a BA in History. In 1975, Terry received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, and Terry received a Master of Law in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1980.

Terry practices in the areas of civil litigation including serious bodily injury and medical malpractice; social security disability; veteran’s benefits; claimant's workers' compensation; products liability; municipal law; real estate; estates and trusts; as well as business and contract.
Interests
When Terry is not practicing law at Mitchell & Mitchell, he enjoys spending time with his wife Barbara, children and grandchildren. You can also catch Terry hiking the Cohutta Wilderness, reading a good book or writing.
